These are some pictures from my phone of the last few weeks as we traveled from Eugene to Boise to Logan to Flagstaff AZ then back up. We are in Idaho Falls right now visiting family and wi head back home this weekend.

Blast from the past!
While in Arizona this week visiting family I have been working on some pages for my mission scrapbook. This is about the only time of year I get to work on it because I do not have that much yet for my family scrapbook. I love looking through the pictures and reading in my journal about certain events. It reminds me how much my mission really influenced me. I think that I forget sometimes. I am so excited to see all the changes that the dropping of the ages for missions is going to bring.

We stopped and stayed the night with Trisha and while we were there we had an Easter egg hunt. The boys are going to be having a really good haul this year with three different egg hunts.
There is nothing that says "family time" on a Sunday afternoon like a Nerf war! John is so good with the boys. They are always begging John to play war or pretend with them.

Better late than never...
Yes, I know that it is March. But I have been doing some pages and wanted to put them up. So here is a little recap from last years holidays. Enjoy!

Since John had to work all day today I wanted to do something different. Something that would get us out of the house, get energy out of the boys, something special. And something that did not require a lot of energy out of me as Camden has been waking up a million times a night. We played outside this morning then hit the road. So after visiting Pets Mart in the hopes of them petting some dogs (epic fail by the way. They did not have any dogs nor any animals to pet) we went to Chucky Cheese's. the boys loved it. They each got 10 tokens. And at the end they only ended up with like 55 tickets. Which they could have bought a piece of licorice with... Or ONE package of smarties. (Insert sarcastic comment here) But as we were waiting in line a nice lady gave us her tickets because they had to leave. Well she gave us like 400 tickets. I thought it was really nice of her. Really really nice. And the boys were happy we were able to get a few more prizes. I love it when nice people do nice things. Makes me want to pay it forward. And it makes me want to be that first nice person. It made me think... How such small acts of kindness can affect people.
On a totally different note. I finally managed to capture Camden and immortalize how he always eats pizza... Upside down. I think it's hilarious. We have tried to get him to eat it the other way but he refuses. Even while complaining because his cheese is always falling off. Go figure.

Spring...?
We had to get out of the house today. The weather has been getting to us. And with today being a pretty nice day we decided to go to the park. A good friend of ours let us pop in on her unexpectedly and her son came with us for a bit. It felt great to get outside for a walk when it was not raining. Some days I feel like I need to develop gills... Needless to say we are very much looking forward to heading to AZ in a few more weeks.

Putters and Spiderman Jared Whetten
We went mini golfing with the boys. It was fun. I think that the boys got bored towards the end. I wish that they had more variety for the holes. But all in all we had fun.
This is the DAILY view of Camden lately. And I mean every day all day. And usually I have him take it off when we go out. But we were running late today so he had it on all day. He said his name is Spiderman Jared Whetten... He loves the newer cartoon, but what cracks me up is that Netflix has the old cartoon from the 70's, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, which he loves too. This poor costume though is getting frayed as you can see and the velcro is losing its touch. We may need to buy them in bulk. And sorry about the picture direction. It is what it is. :)My OCD-ness
I am going to try to post more often here. And I discovered a handy new app that lets me post from my phone. So lucky you guys that will probably see more pics and video from my phone! ;) I will still post my scrapbooked pages here so friends and family can see them too. But my hopes are that I will post more about what is going on with us with the phone app as it is more at hand to use.
So things that have been going on with us. I have been doing a lot of crocheting lately. I have just been in that mood. Other projects are in the works as well and I will try to update as I get them done. I got last years photo book in the mail. I also change my blog header every year and have been using that as the cover for that year. I am really loving how it turns out.
This was the previous years:
When my mom was here one thing I got done was I had half of a paper scrapbook and all of Elvin's first year scrapbook that I wanted to get scanned and then printed in a book like these others. There was a few different reasons for this. One: I am OCD and it was buggin'. ;) Two: I had taken so many photos of EVERYTHING from Elvin's first year. And as is often the case with first kids, I had a ton of like two page spreads that had like 8 pictures of him in his santa suit... for example. The kid was only 2 months at the time so you can imagine how in all the pictures it is not like he had a different expression. Needless to say, the scrapbook itself was not holding. It was falling apart. And then I had only like 7 pages from Camden's first year. So I took them to Staples and they scanned all the pages and I uploaded them to snapfish and ordered another book. I was really worried about what the resolution would be. But they turned out really good. They just were not as sharp as the others, which was to be expected. But I am happy with it. Here is the cover.
And now comes the OCD... yep. I am proud to say that all of our memories are all digital. Here are the last 3 books.
I am still working on my mission scrapbook. I think it will be a work in progress for awhile as I don't work on it as often.
